A Good Idea for a Story
on 19 December 2013
I found the idea of using ghosts as detectives an interesting idea. It allowed the author to use different ways of feeding information to the reader. The idea that a ghost can be in a room completely undetected could be a scarey concept to some people, but if it is a "good" ghost there is no danger.
The story itself was predictable, a simple case of theft by a corrupt official involving murder and misdirection. The one thing I did not like was the way the worldly wise ghost expressed his views about the Church and the dead nun's constant desire to pray every day.
A lightweight story suitable for holiday reading.
