Great to see all of their "Seasons" EP's packaged into one set.

Every disc is packed with songs that perfectly encapsulates the season on the disc. Lyrics are intricate and each song has a distinct story that the weaves the whole album together like a hand made blanket that you go to when you are feeling scared or lonely.

Highly recommended for anyone that loves country/folk music, or what I would call "soul" music. And if you love the music, I would strongly recommend you go and see these lovely ladies live in concert if you get the chance as they are even more amazing live.

Amazing collection of Larkin Poe's first EPs (Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter). Written and recorded over the course of a year these original, innovative EPs are truly special. Summer includes 3 live tracks which are mind-blowingly awesome. Recommend to anyone who likes a range of genres as Larkin Poe describe themselves as "Two swampadelic soul sisters" who cannot be categorised into one genre. They get their influences from bluegrass, rock, folk, Americana and jazz.

A great collection of the talented duo's early E.Ps - when they were a little more strongly country folk in their live act rather than bluesy-soul rock/pop.

Some great tracks on here: Praying For the Bell, Trance, We Intertwine, Sea Song and their fantastic cover of Massive Attack's 'Tear Drop'

Got this CD set at the Cambridge Folk Festival after their second wonderful set, and just before meeting the sisters at a signing session (and they were lovely). Then listened to the CD on the way home. It has gone on to be one of my favourite albums, although with four CDs it takes a lot of listening!

With its distinctive steel guitar and female vocals that range from soulful to gutsy, this is the sort of music that can appeal to fans of Dire Straits and Indigo Girls alike. The CDs, each for a different season of the year, do have a different feel - my favourite is "Fall".

The standout tracks for me: Principle of Silver Lining; Fairbanks Alaska; Praying for the Bell; Enough For You; Memories; It Gets Better as you go; Taller Far than a Tall Man.
