Does not hit the standards of the first album
on 1 December 2011
I bought this on the back of the reviews on Amazon. Sadly, I'm disappointed, because compared to their fantastic debut album, this is not a patch. The title track, 'Science and Faith' is great, with a brilliant guitar riff, and measures up to the standards of the first album. 'You won't feel...' and 'If you ever...' are decent tracks, with their own character. However, after that, too many of the songs slip into the category of easy listening. They are not unpleasant, there are good bits, but they do not grab you by the throat and make you listen to every note. Neither the lyrics, nor the rapping, nor the instruments reach the heights of the first album. And there lies the problem: if you only heard this album, you might see it as a decent effort, but after being spoiled with the "can't stop playing it" nature of the first, this one disappoints.
