BRIO World Railway Track Expansion Pack - Advanced
Price:£21.05+ Free shipping with Amazon Prime

on 22 December 2016
Brio quality. Sturdy and useful track pieces, which increase the complexity of the track layout - a lot more fun for the kids. A few teething issues: the T-junction doesn't really work that well and the switching tracks takes a lot of the speed out of a free wheeling train (potentially derails it too). You can’t flip the pieces over to use the other side either (a feature I like in some of the other sets). The spherical shaped joins (when connected) have a tendency to leave a gap around the join, which again slows the trains down. I haven’t so far had an issue with spherical joins breaking (unlike other users). However, I can agree that the flat joints are seamless, stronger.

Got a small child in your house? Buy this now and save yourself having to do it later. Take my word, okay?

Excellent Brio as usual, does what it says on the box really. Once you've accumulated a few sets of Brio it's addictive and you want to maximise the track potential you definitely need to invest in these packs like the intermediate and advanced.

Genuine Brio expansion pack consisting of various junction pieces. Gives a whole variety of possibilities if you have enough straight / curved track.
The only drawback with this - as with all Brio - is the price, although it could also do to have a small joining piece with a 'hole' at each end to complete the set.

You'll want to have the MM and FF pieces that come with the Intermediate Pack, or else you might be frustrated trying to use all the level crossings and things. Otherwise, this Advanced Pack is a good way to start making some otherwise-impossible layouts.

Brio expansion pack bought for my grandson has good play value and good motor control training, unfortunately some of the joints are too weak for small children to handle. The spherical shaped joins are weak and one broke off on second use. The flat joints are stronger. This set was bought for it's good selection of points and cross overs but these are the ones with the weaker joints.

An excellent pack although the T-junction doesn't really work that well (lots of derailments etc). Allows for much more variety in track layouts which as far as the kids are concerned is great news.

This toy is fantastic. My four year old is mad about trains and now he can build incredible tracks. This toy is being played with every day and helps my child to develop problem solving skills.
