I have reviewed a number of texts on M&A for my classes and have found this one to be the best by far in terms of clarity, number of examples, breadth of case studies, and documentation. The foremat of the book is excellent with bold, self explantory section titles making the book exceptionally easy to read. The author's writing style makes complex material come alive in an easy and comfortable manner. The CDRom accompanying the book is filled with detailed excel-based spreadsheet models illustrating how to analyze and value mergers, acquisitions, and leveraged buyouts. The models can be modified to reflect your own needs. The CD also contains powerpoint presentations, chapter outlines, chapter questions and answers, a buyer due diligence question list, and answers to specific chapter case study question sets. This book is a winner in all respects from my point of view.
This book has quickly become one of my few 'prized' possessions. The depth of analysis, coverage of issues and cases is extraordinary. An indispensable reference for Professionals , Students, Researchers and Academics interested in or involved in Mergers, Acquisitions and Restructuring activities.
