Another winner from a wonderful story teller
13 November 2018
There’s a ritual excitement in our house when a new David Walliams book comes out. There’s always a pre order, and an argument about who gets to read it first. And that slight sinking feeling when it’s all over and we have to wait for a new one!
I love my girls faces reading David Walliams books. There’s a look of feasting on the story and this one is no exception. The wry smiles at the funny bits too, like they’re in on the joke. And that’s what makes his story telling so good. It’s inclusive, not preachy, silly but still relevant, and in a world of endless homework and screens, plain good fun.
Walliams you still owe me a mammoth though lol.
I can’t wait to show both my kids Little Brittain when they’re much older. They’ll be very confused trying to link this amazing author to such bawdy comedy.
