Brooks Mens Ghost 6 2E Running Shoes 1101442E384 B&hellip Brooks
I have run in many types of shoe since 1982 and Brooks Ghosts are equal with the best I've used. Technology has improved shoes a lot over the years, but in the main it is weight that has reduced. In the 80s and 90s one could but light 'racing' shoes, but these were not rubust, and stable shoes etc. had extra weight to include various heel cups, posts, grids and the like. These Ghosts are as light as anything from then, but are rubust and comfortable. This is my second pair of 6s. I ran 750 miles in pair 1 and I now use these for trails as they are still in good nick. The new pair will be used for the road upon which they are second to none - stable, quiet, secure, light and constant. I… Read more
Memorable Munros: A Diary of Ascents of the Highes&hellip by Richard Gilbert

One of many books about climbing the Scottish Munros, but this is one of the earlier ones. Originally written as a paperback in the 70s, it was released as a hardback in the 80s. This is the issue I have and can recommend it to all Munro enthusiasts. Familiar routes are described in a previous age, from my young days when all information came from books, and the internet was yet to soar. I love books, love Munro books and would not be without this.
Panasonic Lumix TZ18 Digital Camera - Black (14.1M&hellip by Panasonic

4.0 out of 5 stars Very good, 19 May 2014
I m on my second Lumix TZ18, as the first went wrong after a little rain ingression on a Scottish mountain. I had a TZ5 which was brilliant, hefty (I dropped it but it bounced) and resilliant. The TZ18 feels lighter and feels a little less robust. That said it functioned on a 20,000 foot Himalayan peak and took everything apart from Scottish rain. I still have the second TZ18, and would not relinquish it unless something much superior came onto the market. I wanted to give it 5 stars, but due to its slight vulnerability, albeit in extremis, I have opted for an honest 4. A good little camera.
