Customer Promise

1. Amazon.co.uk Safe Shopping

Our secure-server software encrypts all your personal information including credit or debit card number, name and address. The encryption process takes the characters you enter and converts them into bits of code that are then securely transmitted over the Internet.

2. Price Increases

Unfortunately publishers occasionally raise the price of items unexpectedly. In the event that this occurs we'll check with you to see if you still wish to receive the item at the new price. We may, at our discretion, absorb small price increases without passing them on to our customers.

3. Delivery Charges

We use fast and cost effective methods to ensure efficient delivery of your order. We constantly review our carriers and our delivery rates to ensure we can offer a great delivery service at a competitive price.

4. Returns at Amazon.co.uk

Our 30-day returns guarantee means that if for any reason you're unhappy with your purchase, you can return it to us in its original condition within 30 days of the date you received the item, unopened (with any seals and shrink-wrap intact) and we'll issue a full refund for the price you paid for the item.

We'll also be happy to refund the delivery charge if the return is a result of our error, see our Refunds Policy. This doesn't affect your statutory rights.

You can always return items if they're defective even if the items have been opened. See Return Items You Ordered.

5. Unsubscribe

To unsubscribe or change your subscription to any of our personal notification services, go to Your Communication Preferences.

6. Updates

As a customer, subscriber or competition entrant you'll occasionally receive e-mail updates about special offers, new Amazon.co.uk services and other news. We hope you'll find these updates interesting and informative. But if you'd rather not receive them, let us know by changing Your Communication Preferences.

7. Privacy

We're committed to protecting your privacy. The information we learn from customers helps us personalise and continually improve your shopping experience at Amazon.co.uk. We use the information to handle orders, deliver products and services, process payments, communicate with you about orders, products, services and promotional offers, update our records and generally maintain your accounts with us, display content such as Wish Lists and customer reviews and recommend merchandise and services that might be of interest to you. We also use this information to improve our store and platform, prevent or detect fraud or abuses of our website and enable third parties to carry out technical, logistical or other functions on our behalf. For more details, please read the Amazon.co.uk Privacy Notice.

Under the UK Data Protection Act 1998, we follow strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of information which you've given us, to prevent unauthorised access. Our security procedures mean that we may occasionally request proof of identity before we're able to disclose sensitive information to you.

Please note that the information you enter will be transferred outside the European Economic Area for the purposes of processing by Amazon.co.uk and its affiliates. By submitting your order, you consent to this transfer.

8. Complaints
