Buying From a Marketplace Seller
The steps to place an order with a Marketplace Seller are the same as placing any other order on Amazon.co.uk. Amazon will pass your payment to the Seller but never pass along your payment information.
You should never send payment to a Seller except through Amazon. You should regard any request to make a payment outside of Amazon (e.g. Moneygram, Western Union, bank transfer) as fraudulent and report the Seller to us. Transactions that are paid for outside of Amazon.co.uk are not eligible for our A-to-z Safe Buying Guarantee. Further, for your security, all communication with the Seller should be conducted solely through the Amazon.co.uk site.
If the Seller's items aren't fulfilled by Amazon, then your order will be fulfilled directly by the Seller who will also handle all of their customer service. As Amazon.co.uk isn't directly involved in the completion of sales arranged with Marketplace Sellers, you'll need to contact the Seller directly for the following issues:
If a dispute arises between you and a Marketplace Seller, and you can't reach an agreement with them, you may be able to file an Amazon.co.uk A-to-z Guarantee claim. For more information, go to A-to-z Guarantee Protection.
Note: Sellers work hard to ensure that stock is on hand for delivery, but now and then the availability of a listed item will change by the time an order is placed. While an occasional stock-out is bound to happen, we do require sellers to keep these to a minimum.
