With VoiceView, blind and visually impaired customers can use gestures and screen reader accessibility technology to navigate the device and listen to Kindle books and other Kindle content. You can use VoiceView on your Kindle when you connect to a Bluetooth audio device. Help for Kindle Oasis (9th Generation) and Kindle (8th Generation).
VoiceView screen reader accessibility technology will read your Kindle screen content, including Kindle books and other Kindle content, via a Bluetooth audio device, such as a speaker or headphones. Before pairing your Kindle, verify that the device is within range and compatible with your Kindle. To learn more, go to Supported Bluetooth Profiles.
Before connecting your Kindle to your accessory, please review all the setup instructions for your Bluetooth audio device. There will be no audio announcement or feedback until the last step.
Note: Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) is supported for audio streaming from your Kindle e-reader to your Bluetooth speakers or headphones. VoiceView will only read in the English language. Additionally, Bluetooth microphones and Bluetooth low energy devices are not supported.
