Manage Documents in Your Kindle Library

You can deliver or remove documents in your Kindle Library at any time. When you send documents using your Send to Kindle email address, your documents are automatically archived in your Kindle Library in the Manage Your Content and Devices page.

To manage documents stored in Manage Your Content and Devices:

  1. Go to Manage Your Content and Devices.
  2. From Your Content, select Docs from the Show drop-down menu.
    • To deliver documents to your device, check the box next to the title(s) that you want to deliver, and then select Deliver. Select your device(s) from the list, and then click Deliver again to confirm.
    • To remove documents from the Manage Your Content and Devices page, select the title(s) that you want to delete, and then select Delete. Click Yes, Delete to confirm.

      Note: If there are copies on your device, you will need to manually delete them from your device as well.

If you would no longer like documents to be stored in Manage Your Content and Devices automatically, you can disable automatic document archiving.

To disable document archiving:

  1. Go to Manage Your Content and Devices.
  2. Select the Preferences tab, and then scroll down to Personal Document Settings.
  3. Under Personal Document Archiving, select Edit Archive Settings.
  4. Uncheck the box next to Enable personal document archiving to my Kindle library and click Update.
    Tip: To enable automatic document archiving, check the box next to Enable personal document archiving to my Kindle library and click Update.
