Turn Off Your Amazon Prime Membership Renewal

When you sign up for Amazon Prime, your membership is set to automatically renew at the end of your chosen membership period. You can turn off this automatic renewal at any time.

You can change your Amazon Prime membership payment cycle at any time:

  1. Go to Manage Prime Membership.
    • If you have an annual Amazon Prime membership, you can switch to a monthly Amazon Prime membership.
    • If you have a monthly Amazon Prime membership, you can switch to an annual Amazon Prime membership.
  2. Select Change Payment Option and choose the Amazon Prime membership that you'd like.
  3. If you’re due any refund from your current membership, you’ll be notified of this amount before you confirm the changes to your membership.

If you decide against continuing your membership, it's easy to turn off your automatic renewal:

  • Go to Manage Prime Membership
  • If you have a Prime Subscription, select End Membership.
  • You can then either select to End Membership. This will stop your Prime membership automatically renewing at the end of your current contract.
  • Or you can choose Remind Me Later, if available. If you choose this option, you will be reminded 3 days beforehand that your Prime membership is due to renew.
  • If you currently have an Amazon Prime free trial, click Do Not Continue.

Note: You can check when your membership ends on the left side of the page.

Note: At the end of a free trial period, you'll be automatically converted to a paid annual membership for £79 a year or a paid monthly membership for £7.99 a month

If you'd like to turn your automatic renewal back on at any stage, you may do so on the same page by clicking Continue Membership.

You can opt out at any time during the free trial period. For more information go to Cancel Your Amazon Prime Membership
