Buy Digital Music on Kindle Fire

You can explore and purchase new music from the Digital Music Store on your Kindle Fire. Help for Kindle Fire (2nd Generation), Kindle Fire HD 7" (2nd Generation), and Kindle Fire HD 8.9" (2nd Generation).

Note: Digital Music Store purchases are stored in Your Music Library for free, don't count against any storage limits and are available for playback or download on any Kindle Fire, PC, Mac or compatible mobile device. If you want to add music from your computer to the Cloud on your Kindle Fire, you can import up to 250 songs to Your Music Library for free. Amazon Music Premium subscribers can import up to 250,000 songs. To learn more, go to Uploading Music into Your Music Library.

  1. From Home, tap Music, swipe from the left edge of the screen and then tap Store. Before you can listen to music from your device, you may be prompted to authorise your device to play music from your Amazon Music account.
  2. Use the Search tool to find a specific song, artist, album or genre, or choose a category to browse for music.
  3. To place your order, tap the button displaying the price. Tap Buy (for songs) or Buy Now (for albums) to confirm your purchase.
    Tip: To listen to a sample, tap the Play button next to the song title on the product detail page. Song samples are limited to 30 seconds.
  4. After purchasing your music, tap Go to library to listen to your music or tap Continue shopping to find more music to purchase.
