Welcome to the terms and conditions ("Terms") for Prime Student, which govern Prime Student membership.
These Terms are between you and Amazon.co.uk (Amazon.co.uk is the trading name for Amazon EU Sàrl) and/or its affiliates ("Amazon.co.uk" or "us") and they govern our respective rights and obligations. The Terms, together with applicable terms and conditions related to any promotional offers provided to you for use with Prime Student, constitute the entire agreement between you and Amazon.co.uk related to your Prime Student membership.
Please note that your use of the Amazon.co.uk website, located at www.amazon.co.uk, and any successor or replacement website (the "Amazon.co.uk Website") and the Prime Student membership are also governed by our Conditions of Use & Sale as well as all other applicable terms, conditions, limitations and requirements on the Amazon.co.uk Website, all of which (as changed over time) are incorporated into these Terms. If you register for a Prime Student membership, you accept these terms, conditions, limitations and requirements. Any trial of Prime Student benefits, and any paid Prime Student membership, will also be governed by the Amazon Prime Terms & Conditions. Please read these terms carefully and see our Privacy Notice.
If you sign up for a Prime Student membership, you'll receive certain Amazon Prime benefits for a trial period of six months, as indicated in the Prime Student programme pages at the time you sign up. Benefits are subject to restrictions, such as geographic limitations, as stated in the Amazon Prime section of our Help pages. Prime Student members may also receive discounts and promotions, which we will communicate to you via e-mail or make available on the Prime Student membership page at https://www.amazon.co.uk/student.
Unless you cancel your Prime Student trial, or set it to not automatically convert before the trial period of six months expires, your trial will automatically convert to a paid Prime Student membership at a discounted rate at the end of the trial period. You'll receive all Amazon Prime benefits (except that you may not invite your household members to share your Prime Student membership) at a reduced rate for a total benefit period of up to four years.
Unless you cancel beforehand, after you graduate or at the end of the fourth year of your Prime Student membership, whichever comes first, your Amazon Prime membership will automatically renew on its anniversary date into a full paid membership for Amazon Prime at the then-current rate.
To sign up for and use Prime Student, you must (1) have an Amazon.co.uk account, (2) be aged 18 years or older, (3) be a student enrolled in a higher education institution geographically located in the United Kingdom, (4) be able to provide proof of enrolment upon request, and (5) have a valid academic e-mail address that contains the domain suffix .ac.uk.
If you do not have an e-mail address containing the suffix .ac.uk, you may still sign up for Prime Student via an alternative sign-up process. Click here to learn more about enrolling in Prime Student without an .ac.uk e-mail address.
We may accept or refuse membership at our sole discretion. We may ask you to furnish documentation supporting your eligibility. If you do not provide documentation indicating that you meet the eligibility requirements above, you may be required to reimburse us for benefits you received as a result of your Prime Student membership. You may not transfer or assign your Prime Student membership or the benefits associated with a Prime Student membership. You may not use your student e-mail address for more than one Prime Student membership.
Please note a Prime Student membership, or a trial of Prime Student benefits, is only available to end consumers aged 18 years or older using Prime Student for private use and is not available for Corporate Accounts, legal entities or for customers who purchase items for the purpose of resale.
We reserve the right to make changes to these Terms, the Prime Student service, our Conditions of Use & Sale, our Privacy Notice, or any aspect of the Prime Student membership from time to time by posting revisions on the Amazon.co.uk Website. YOUR CONTINUED MEMBERSHIP AFTER WE CHANGE THESE TERMS CONSTITUTES YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF THESE CHANGES. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO ANY CHANGES, YOU MUST CANCEL YOUR MEMBERSHIP. However, any increase in the membership fee will not apply until your membership is renewed. If any change is found invalid, void or for any reason unenforceable, that change is severable and does not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining changes or conditions.
As part of your Prime Student membership, we will send you details of relevant Prime Student discounts and promotions. You can manage your communication settings here: Manage Your Communication Settings.
We may terminate your Prime Student membership at our discretion without notice. Our failure to insist upon or enforce your strict compliance with these Terms will not constitute a waiver of any of our rights.
