If you're an Amazon Prime member, you can borrow books from the Kindle Owners' Lending Library and read them on your Kindle e-reader, Fire tablet, or Fire phone.
Kindle Owners' Lending Library is available for Amazon Prime members—paid Amazon Prime, paid Prime Student, 30-day free trial, and customers receiving a free month of Prime benefits with a Fire tablet—who own a Kindle e-reader, Fire tablet, or Fire phone, and features hundreds of thousands of titles. Books borrowed from the Kindle Owners' Lending Library have no due dates and can be downloaded from the Cloud on other Kindle e-readers, Fire tablets, and Fire phones registered to the same Amazon account.
Note:
Prime members can borrow one book from Kindle Owners' Lending Library each calendar month. You can download the book to compatible devices registered to the same Amazon account or to the account of adults in the same Amazon Household. Available titles may change each calendar month.
Note: If you've already borrowed a book from Kindle Owners' Lending Library for the current month, you'll see "Monthly limit reached" underneath the Borrow for Free button in the Kindle Store. When you’re eligible to borrow a book again, you’ll see "Prime members only" underneath the Borrow for Free button.
To borrow a book:
If you cancel your Amazon Prime membership or your Amazon Prime membership expires after you borrow a book, you will lose access to the book you borrowed.
Books from the Kindle Owners' Lending Library have no due dates and can be returned at any time.
Any bookmarks, notes, and highlights in the book will be saved to your Amazon account and will be available if you borrow or purchase the book later.
