When you redeem an Amazon.co.uk gift card or gift voucher to your account, the funds will be stored in Your Account and automatically apply to your next eligible order. The original expiry date, if any, applies to any unused funds.
Note: If your order total is more than your gift card balance, the extra will be paid for by your default payment card.
Gift Cards can't be used to purchase other gift cards, or as payment for a Prime membership fee.
If you want to save your gift card balance for another occasion, you can choose to check out without using it when you select your payment method. Simply uncheck the box next to Use your £X.XX Gift and promotional balance. If you don't see this screen during checkout, you can click Change under the Payment Method heading on the final page before you place your order.
If you haven't already redeemed your gift card to your account, you can also enter your claim code during checkout by entering the claim code in the "Gift Cards & promotional codes" box on the Review your order page. You won't be able to use your gift card funds using 1-Click shopping unless you redeem it to Your Account first.
