About Amazon Music for iPhone, iPad & iPod touch

With the Amazon Music app, you can play or download music from your music library on your iPhone, iPad and/or iPod touch running iOS 8 or higher.

You can install the Amazon Music app from Apple's App Store. Search "Amazon Music" to find the app and then follow the onscreen installation instructions.

If you already have an Amazon Music account, you can use the same account information to sign in to the app. You'll then be able to see and play your entire music library within the app from your Cloud Library.

Your Offline Library shows any iTunes music or playlists you already have stored on your device, as well as the music you've downloaded to your device from your Cloud Library.

To view your library, tap the Menu button and select Your Library. Your current library selection displays in the navigation bar at the top of the application window. To switch to your Offline Library, you can turn on Offline Music Mode in the Menu.

Note: If you update a playlist in your iTunes library, you'll need to re-add it to the Amazon Music app by tapping the Menu icon, Settings and then Add playlists from device in order to see the changes.

If you're new to Amazon Music, you can start adding music to your music library by importing it from your computer. For more information, go to Upload Your Music.

You can also shop for new music by visiting the Digital Music Store using your device's web browser or your computer. Any music you import to your music library or purchase from the Digital Music Store is automatically available in your Cloud Library within the Amazon Music app.

  • You can access additional Amazon Music app controls and options (including Download and Add to Playlist) by tapping the three vertically stacked dots that display next to songs and in the upper right corner of the "Now Playing" screen.
  • Amazon Digital Music file metadata may contain unique purchase identifiers. For more information, go to About Record Company Required Metadata.
