Set your Unattended Delivery Preferences

Setting your Unattended Delivery Preferences allows you to tell us what you'd like to happen to your parcel if you're not at home to receive it.

To select the option most suited to you:

  1. On the confirmation screen during checkout, click Tell us where to leave your package below the heading What if I am not in? under your delivery address.
  2. On the window which pops up either nominate a preferred neighbour or select a safe place for delivery.

Note: If you'd like these delivery preferences to be applied to all future orders to this address, check the Use these preferences for all future deliveries to this address box.

Important:

  • Please note that some orders won't be eligible for unattended delivery.
  • While our goal is to honour your preferences whenever possible, we can't guarantee that our carriers will be able to meet these instructions under all circumstances.

Note:

  1. If you choose the option No Special preference, and no-one's available to take delivery of the parcel, the carrier will leave a calling card to let you know how you can collect or receive it.
  2. If you choose the delivery to a preferred neighbour, you’ll need to provide a specific neighbour's address where the carrier should deliver the package. The neighbour's house must be next door and they should be aware that you’re sharing their information for this delivery. If the neighbour isn't available, the carrier will leave a calling card to let you know how you can collect or receive your parcel.
  3. If you prefer to have your parcel left unattended on your premises, select one of the safe places from the list. Ensure that the safe place you choose is protected from the elements and is guarded from public view to avoid damage and theft.
  4. If, when you're ordering, you think you might not be at home to accept delivery, you might be able to choose a Pickup location as an alternative. Pickup Locations provide you with an alternative delivery location where you can collect your Amazon.co.uk parcels, including Amazon Lockers. To find a Pickup location in your area go to Search for a Pickup Location near you.
  5. You can also update your Weekend Availability preferences and a security access code for future orders through Your Account. Go to Manage Your Addresses under "Settings", click Change and fill in the necessary details. This information will be saved and applied to any future orders you place.
