Join Prime Student

Students currently enrolled in a college or university who have a valid .ac.uk e-mail address can join Prime Student through the website.

Note: If you’re an existing Amazon Family member and you'd like to switch to Prime Student, your current Prime membership will end and you’ll be refunded for the unused portion of this membership. You’ll no longer be eligible for Amazon Family benefits, such as 20% off nappies ordered through Subscribe & Save.

To join Prime Student:
  1. Go to Prime Student sign-up.
  2. Complete and submit the sign-up form.
  3. Click the verification link in the e-mail we send to confirm your e-mail address and complete the sign-up process.

Note:

  • If your .ac.uk e-mail address isn't listed on your Amazon.co.uk account, that's OK. The only e-mail we'll send to your .ac.uk e-mail address is the verification e-mail. If you don't have a .ac.uk e-mail address, we may need to manually verify your student status as part of the sign up process. If this is the case, you'll be re-directed during the sign-up process.
  • If you don't receive the verification e-mail, go to this page and follow the steps to re-send the confirmation e-mail. To prevent our e-mail from going to your spam or junk folder, add amazon-student-uk@amazon.co.uk to your contacts or safe list.
  • Current Amazon Prime members who sign-up for Prime Student will receive a refund for the remaining months of their current Amazon Prime membership. You'll no longer have access to certain Amazon Prime benefits such as Kindle Owners' Lending Library unless you enrol in a Prime Student membership for just £39 per year or £3.99 per month (50% off the regular price of Amazon Prime).
