Connect Your Calendar to Alexa

You can connect your personal or work calendars to Alexa.

You can link supported calendar accounts to Alexa from the Alexa app. Once you link your calendar, you can ask Alexa about your scheduled events, add or delete new events, and move events.

You have the option to link one calendar from each of the currently supported calendar providers. If another adult is in your Amazon Household, this person can also link calendar accounts to Alexa.

  • To enhance certain calendar features, your event information is stored in the Cloud.
  • Anyone with access to your Alexa devices can ask about events on your linked calendars.
  • If you're unable to connect your Office 365 calendar, check with your administrator for any special policies that may apply to your commercial account.

Supported calendars

  • Apple – Link your iCloud calendar.
  • Google - Link your Gmail or G Suite calendar accounts.
  • Microsoft Office 365 Calendars – Link your supported company/work calendar.
  • Microsoft Outlook.com Calendar - Link personal calendar accounts, including those ending in @outlook.com, @hotmail.com, and @live.com.
  • Microsoft Exchange - Exchange support is available through Alexa for Business.

Link your calendar

To link your calendar account to Alexa:

  1. Launch the Alexa app.
  2. Go to the menu and select Settings.
  3. Select Calendar.
  4. Choose your calendar account from the list of supported providers.
  5. Select the "Link" option, and follow the on-screen instructions to allow Alexa to access your calendar.

Note: Linking your calendar typically involves entering the sign-in information for your calendar account, and verifying that you want to give Alexa access to it. To link your iCloud calendar to Alexa, you must use Apple's two-factor authentication process. To learn more, go to Using Your iCloud Calendar with Alexa.

If you have multiple calendars in one account, you may be prompted to select which calendar from that account Alexa can access.

You can then ask Alexa about upcoming events on your calendar, or to add new events. To learn more, go to Manage Calendar Events with Alexa.
