The "Mincemeat" team 18th April 1943 met up HMS SERAPH on the Clyde, they left from London the sub from Blyth in Northumberland why?...........could it be the body was not taken from London, but collected from Scotland, having been killed at sea and from HMS DASHER........27th March 1943?

bulldog says:
The submarine was repaired @ Blythe after a collision with a U boat . It went to the Clyde to the depot ship where stores ammunition & accomodation were available as was normal practice then & for many years after. The book by Mcintyre evens tell the name of the driver who took the body to Scotland.
