What is the Amazon.co.uk Trade-In Program?
The Amazon.co.uk Trade-In Program allows customers to receive an Amazon.co.uk Gift Card in exchange for hundreds of thousands of eligible items from our video games, games consoles, gaming accessories and books selection. The process is easy and convenient with free shipping, an immediate offer, and no required registration or listing.
How long will it take to receive payment once I trade in my item?
Once your item is verified, you will receive an e-mail notification within 2 business days informing you whether your items were accepted or rejected. If your trade-in is accepted by the merchant, a gift card will be deposited in your account. Your submission will not be accepted if it does not meet the eligibility criteria. Rejected items will be returned to you approximately 14 days after receipt at no cost to you, and an Amazon.co.uk Gift Card will not be issued. Trade-in submissions sent via Royal Mail may take up to 6 business days to arrive before your submission is processed.You can find the status of your trade-in anytime in Your Trade-in Account.
Once your trade-in has been paid, you'll see the amount when viewing your
gift card balance.
What condition do my items need to be in?
In general, all items must be in at least acceptable condition and the item you wish to trade in must match the exact version displayed in the Trade-In search results or on the product page on Amazon.co.uk. Are there any delivery or other fees?
When you use the pre-paid delivery label, sending your trade-in item to the third-party merchant is completely free, there are no other fees. When you submit your trade-in, you'll print a pre-paid Royal Mail delivery label for sending in your items. If a trade-in item is not accepted by the merchant, and is returned to you, there is no cost to you for return delivery.
What do I do if I lost my delivery label?
You can print a delivery label at any time by going to Your Trade-in Account and clicking the Print Shipping Label button on the trade-in order.
Can I trade in an item that isn't listed in the Trade-In Store?
If you have multiple packages or other delivery questions check out our Packing and Sending your Trade-In instructions.
If your item is not listed in the Trade-In Store, then we currently do not have an offer for it. However the Trade-In program is being constantly updated with new titles, so check back regularly.
Do you guarantee the Trade-In price listed on your website?
Yes, if your trade-in is postmarked within 7 calendar days of submission and the item meets or exceeds the product eligibility criteria.
Who do I contact with questions about my trade-in?
The most recent status of your trade-in is available online anytime in Your Trade-in Account.
How do I Submit a Trade-In From the Amazon Mobile App?
If you need assistance with your trade-in submission, you can contact Amazon.co.uk Customer Service via phone or e-mail by clicking the Contact Us button.
You can submit a trade-in from the Amazon Mobile app on your Android or iOS compatible device. To submit a trade-in from the Amazon Mobile app:
1. Search for an item by entering its name or by scanning its bar code.
2. Tap on Trade-In for… on the product detail page to add an eligible item to your trade-in submission.
3. Select the condition of your item. Check your items thoroughly to ensure they meet the selected condition criteria.
4. Tap Add another item if you have more items to trade.
5. Tick I agree with the condition of the items and select Review & Submit.
6. In the delivery options, choose a delivery method from the available options and the return address.
7. Tap Submit Trade-In Order.
You’ll be able to print your postage label via your computer. Send your items within 7 calendar days of submitting the trade-in.
