This film was like waiting for a grenade to go off, sadly it never did. I loved the modern take on Nottingham and the characters clothing.
The storyline however seemed rushed and consequently there was very little build up towards the finale. Kevin Costner's Robin Hood story line in comparison to this retelling was thoughtful and the slow build up towards the end made that film a classic. If only this film had been longer and taken the same route then this film would have easily been a five star.
In conclusion, the film had some great ideas and the setting was stunning, there were great performances by Taron Egerton and Jamie Foxx, also Ben Mendelsohn's outing as the villain was very good. However this film is a classic example of wasting great actors and making a film to a set time instead of taking the time to tell a proper story.
