Pit Stop is that rare thing on the careers shelves, a great read. Its logically sequenced exercises offer people whose careers have got stuck practical steps towards developing worthwhile working lives. I found that completing one exercise generally whetted my appetite to do the next. But whenever I started to flag, one of the wonderfully written stories from the author's own career revived me. It's a sensible length, too, not a word wasted. Very good value.
