A masterfully written Pride & Prejudice variation. It is a delight from every aspect: the original cover speaks elegance and style as soon as you see the book, the Author's language is charming and authentic, and - most of all - the plot is thrilling. It keeps one in suspense from the beginning to the end, trying to put all the clues together and guess the outcome, and - failing miserably, for the Author has many delightful twists in store for her readers. Jane Austen's characters are written with a real skill and love, they are so wonderfully recognisable, you know that all their actions are completely true to their personalities. However, Cassandra Grafton goes further - she creates a whole host of brand new characters and does it beautifully! This is, perhaps, the biggest challenge every JAFF author faces and she passes it with top marks! Her Bingley twins jump off the pages and involve the reader in their mischief, her Eleanor Latimer wins our hearts despite some of her unfortunate family connections, and Mr Latimer (!) - could give Lady Catherine a run for her money! Brilliant! Huge congratulations to Cassandra Grafton for this remarkable achievement. Bravo!
