Another thrilling read, part two of the Atlantean series was very gripping. I'm really getting caught up with all the wonderful Atlantean characters, you can't help but care about them, they are up against such an evil force, but thankfully they also have some formidable powers. I'm also enjoying finding out more about them and their back stories and felt sorry for poor Jared knowing the exceptionally evil Phoenicia was his mother. You can really feel his pain and anger as he seeks justice and tries to put things right with the whole world on his shoulder. The conflict of good and evil, trust and revenge, and doing the right thing for the good of the many is strong in this story. The anguish that Lauren felt when she thought she had to act the way she did was heartbreakingly sad. There is also love and developing relationships, which I will look forward to reading about in future books. I would highly recommend this very imaginative and exciting story.
