Book Three of the Mindless Trilogy hits the ground running then careers on, like a runaway truck, leaving a trail of bodies in its wake, human and zombie. In this outing, Lavender and Carson square up to a villain whose soul is as rotten as the bodies of the zombies whose ascension has enabled him to indulge his vile habits. The story blends action, tragedy and triumph to bring a satisfying, if unexpected, conclusion to the trilogy. Don't start this book late in the day, as you will not be able to put it down. I finished it at 2 a.m. It's 20% longer than Book Two. If you haven't read the precursors, I would suggest doing that first, to enjoy the whole story. In fact, you can obtain the whole set for less than a couple of lattes and a bun at your local coffee shop, and the pleasure will last longer. Binge read the lot, one after another! I'm only sad that the story has now run its course, but watch with interest, to see what S.P. Oldham has to offer next.
