Tim and I were born in the same year and went to De Aston Secondary School. Although I knew who he was our paths only crossed in Art Classes and I was not `cool' enough to feature in his reminiscing. Although the names have been carefully changed, I recognise many characters and enjoyed the memories he evokes. Having said that; I think we grew up in parallel universes. I was oblivious to many of the things that were so important to him. Perhaps that is the difference in living in a "Small Town", Market Rasen, and a mile outside of a small rural village. Or just being a horse obsessed girl and a music and sport obsessed youth (seventies word). Anyway, if you were born around 1965, read it. You will laugh out loud and remember things long forgotten. By the way Tim, I managed a B in A level Art but expected your painting achieve an A.
