Most lens tissues on the market are thin and not very absorbent Usually several sheet will be require for each lens. Sometimes you'll need to spray cleaning fluid on the lens rather than the tissue to get a good clean (not recommended).
Pec-pad is different, it is thick and can soak up a lot moisture. In use it's similar to wet wipes. Since Pec-pad is disposable, it's much safer than microfibre cloths and lens pen, both of which can trap grit and put big scratch on your optics.
To get the best out of this lens tissue, you will need a high performance cleaning solution. I'd recommend Photo Sol's Eclipse for camera lens and Baader's Optical Wonder Fluid for astronomical optics.
PS. This is not suitable for cleaning optical mirrors.
