If you love Italian food, whether you watched the series or not (and if not, you should!) you will LOVE this book. The narrative and photos make you almost smell the lemons, basil and other good things, and it's obvious how passionate the men are about the ingredients, the regions and the recipes.
It's great as a coffee table book - beautiful to look at and a good read - but mine already has some stains on the pages because it's also a book for cooking from. The recipes are clear, adaptable when you can't get the ingredients (for example, just use truffle oil instead of expensive truffle slices in the chicken livers recipe) and a total joy to cook, look at and most of all eat.
