I've friends with Fitbits that cost twice as much, need recharging every week, aren't waterproof and don't have GPS. This has all those features and is a nice fit on my wrist too. Bought one for my other half, who was so impressed they then bought me one too! Huawei is also a Chinese brand with offices in the UK, London and Reading - so it's not an unknown load of rubbish but instead an up-and-coming brand that offers excellent value while it tries to establish itself in European markets. At £49.99, this watch is a steal.
UPDATE Nov 2018: Amazon has a new low price of £35 making this even better value for money. Also, in response to others who have had issues with their watch's strap, I've had no issues with mine and neither has my other half. We've been swimming with ours several times, I've bashed mine against a wall a few times by accident when carrying a large load up the stairs (it suffered a few minor scratches but hardly noticeable). We've had our watches since Dec 2017 and Jan 2018 respectively and they're still going great, work perfectly and are holding month-long battery charges with Bluetooth always on, WhatsApp, phone and text notifications being read and step counts too, of course. Using GPS saps battery power very quickly mind you - to a few hours - so keep that in mind if it's a feature you're keen to use a lot. Thought this worth adding as perhaps there was a defective batch made, but others (most?) like mine are perfect. Finally, a friend with a Fitbit costing three times as much has just switched to one, after the Fitbit failed more than once.
