The book is an interesting read and certainly offers food for thought, but I was a little disappointed with it. It feels to me like it focuses more on why you should "escape" than how you actually "escape". In my opinion, this makes it more appropriate for someone that needs to convince themselves that escaping is a good idea, rather than for someone looking to find the key(s) to freedom. However, the book does provide you with a base from which to begin exploring the idea of living outside of consumer society.
I would have enjoyed the book more if it was more succinct in its delivery of useful information (but that is a matter of taste).
