I really enjoyed the book. An interesting and honest view from a bright and articulate writer. I loved the honesty regarding the lack of interest and motivation shown by various 'support' and media organisations, once the cliche'd party line was no longer being followed by the writer. The second half of the book is a fascinating and brave confrontation of the support systems that allow government and ourselves to feel better about the efforts being made to assist those less fortunate, in spite of the genuine lack of real change or progress. Personal responsibility is a brave and unexpected theme from a brilliant writer who's personal experiences have enhanced, and not not dulled, his ability to analyse and describe his world. Brilliant read. I look forward to reading more in future. Please keep writing.
