Natural Deselection really kept me hooked. I read it far too quickly because I just NEEDED to know what happened next!
Chloe is from New York. She leaves under unfortunate circumstances and ends up living and working in London. In this version of London a law has been passed which makes losing your job almost impossible. So whilst her job may be boring, at least it is safe. Or so she thought. The company have brought in a consultant, the mysterious Lyndon Cutter... what is he planning to do and why? Chloe has other problems apart from work. A woman who takes the same tube as her has started dressing like her, and she has been getting abusive phone calls, that sound like they are from her ex fiance.... except he is in a coma!
So there is a lot going on, but it is easy to follow. Plenty of action and suspense, and a few surprising twists. With books like this you do need to suspend your disbelief a little but I love that, it's what I read for, escapism and fun! I could see this book being adapted into a film.
If you like thrillers, this one is well worth a look. I enjoyed it a lot, highly recommended.
