I’ve been a Macbook user for 7 years, and finally jumped across to Windows with this machine. It certainly looks beautiful, particularly when you give that lovely big screen something to play with. It’s also a real powerhouse, and can handle pretty much anything I throw at it without a fuss. There aren’t many laptops that can do what this one does for under £1k.
It’s not without issues though. There’s a slight clicking/whirring sound from the right side of the body. It happens when the computer is doing anything more than light browsing (might be the hard disk spinning, or the fan not sitting quite right?) and it gets very annoying after a while. I also had to reset Windows 10 after I first booted the laptop up, as there were all sorts of problems. It’s works like a dream now, but all that Dell bloatware was undoubtedly causing problems.
Overall, a really great computer, but I’ve already had more problems in the first two days than I had in 7 years with my trusty MacBook Pro.
