Customer Review

19 January 2004
Gregg has a tendency to concentrate more on the smaller details of Cromwell's life, his childhood etc, and does not over analyse the bits that tend to be more of use for the A-level student.
If you are looking for a biography of Cromwell as a person this is for you, it shows Cromwell as a rounded religious kind of guy and gives a better overview of his life as a person.
If you are an A-level student I suggest that you skip this book, unless you are reading for a general view, read something along the lines of Coward or Gaunt as they tend to be more accessible
