Different approach to 'hanging' a camera... this goes over the shoulder and chest, rather than those horrible around the neck cutting nylon straps provided. The design is such that a 'sliding' attachment means the camera glides up and down: it is WELL DESIGNED, unlike some cheap copies; 1) the tripod thread is strong (!) and long enough to slot all the way in, AND has a locking over clip. 2) The overall material is WELL made to take the weight of a decent DSLR 3) The material is cut and stitched well, so doesnt fray and rub 4) there is enough 'loop' to hold the camera in front to take a photo
The camera is neatly tucked under the ribs, and there is a quick release strap clasp so that it can be secured there: BOth out of sight (!) and hold the camera close too you so is does Not swing out or forwards when you move. It can quickly then be drawn upwards to take a photo ( with plenty of length forwards, to hold a camera up away and take a photo- I see many cheap copies where the camera can not be held far enough form the face, thus rendering the cheap copies useless in use. A quick point here too that the tripod mounting point thread is very well made, and locks too; again many reports of cheap imitation designs falling off and trashing £1,000s of kit ! I would point out that there are many cheap 'design' copies out there, that make these JOBY ones ones seem expensive; however having tried them, you will soon see why the JOBY ones are excellent and worth the extra. Would you want to risk all your DSLR kit on a cheap (chinese) design copy, only to watch it drop the lot at your feet ...? I WOULD recommend this JOBY.
