This is a very beautiful book which takes a good stab at covering many aspects of so-called "wellness" or, as per the title "well being", in the context of daily life. The book is divided into the key parts of the day and provides advice, ideas, suggestions and recipes to incorporate into your day. Everything from smoothies to salads, from yoga positions to lip scrub and sweet treats to mouthwash is covered. "Wellness" is not something I am particularly into and I consider it distinct from "health", which I believe everybody should be concerned with, to a greater or lesser extent. However, there were some recipes that piqued my interest. I was happy to find a recipe for lip balm, which my youngest son was keen to make. I thought a number of the product recipes (pillow spray, lip scrub, etc) would make nice gifts. I might look further at some of breathing exercises, as my autistic son might find them useful for calming/alerting purposes. I don't think I am likely to start chanting as a result of reading this book, but I wouldn't be surprised if I return to it from time to time.
