An alternative to the normal neck strap provided with most cameras. Similar idea as a single point carry strap for a military carbine - allows rapid movement and use of both arms / hands while camera remains securely attached to you and then it can be rapidly brought up to fire off photographs. A screw on this strap is screwed into the tripod mounting hole underneath the camera. Then a catch is pressed over which will prevent the screw coming loose. This camera strap is then carried over your shoulder and the length can be adjusted to your size. Takes the weight of the camera away from your neck. Allows the camera to be easily swung up ready to take a photograph, then brought back down again to be carried at your side. The only down side is that this strap attaches to the camera's tripod mounting socket. You will need to remove this strap, screw in a mounting plate - such as the Manfrottto PL 200, then be able to attach to a ball head or video head on a monopod or tripod. But then the objective of using this camera strap is to allow more flexible and secure attachment when doing hand held photography.
