Tremendous book. I read this having enjoyed Who is Mr Satoshi; Joy is even better.

Jonathan Lee must have worked in the City - so many of his observations are laugh out loud and eerily familiar. But the great thing about this book for me is the author's use of English and ability to convey different human characteristics so accurately and with such economy.

I LOVED the literary device deployed to tell the story. Without wanting to spoil anything for those who've not yet read it, the style of story telling alternates between chapters and is as original as it is effective.

I read the book in 3 sittings - that says all you need to know about this compelling and heart-felt novel.

More books please, Mr Lee!

This is a superb book. Moving, funny, bitter-sweet; always compelling.

"A blurry flash of her blue raincoat emerged from the tunnel, a blob of minty toothpaste squeezed from its tube."

The author has a Fleming-like knack for story telling, and a turn of phrase reminiscent of Amis.

Get this book - you won't put it down. Lee is definitely an author to watch. More please.
