4.0 out of 5 stars Grows on you., 31 May 2010
This review is from: Alpha Protocol (Video Game)
If taken for what was promised, RPG elements gives that needed approach of depth to espionage once you look past minor presentation disparities.

Beneath suttle distractions like some rare inert A.I moments, I discovered there's interesting spy mechanics that's gratifyingly different for momentary strategy compared to the run of the mill. Useful gadgets, nonlinear routes and mission choice, for the most part, brings a competent sense of espionage management providing a good sense of a achievement while leveling up.

Well worth sticking with for it's expansing experience.

5.0 out of 5 stars Your PS3 was begging for it., 22 Oct. 2009
Thought reviews and reason to continue the saga were good eneough to get this for. Now feel it transended my predetermined expectation because this has a true "seen to be believed" factor that I've never encountered which left my jaw on the floor, lumps in my throat and my hair stand on end.

The needed inclusion of Multiplayer gives a graphic defining experience.

One word describes it. Outstanding!

5.0 out of 5 stars I'm the rWheelman, 29 Mar. 2009
Would highly recommend anyone to give this a serious lookin to as it has some of the most enjoyable story missions to date to open world with nicely topped off Sound fx and playability to make it compellingly addictive.

What I like is the fact that you can pull your veheicle during pursuits anytime and have cover shootouts thats better than most games of it's type. What it lacks in polish, it makes up for in challenge, pace and fun.
Had the devs' taken their time to tweak the A.I, this would've done it justice to offer something absorbing to all ages.
No jump or vault button for Vin cause he's got too much muscles but this does not detract from the experience! The melee gives it justice to chases under heat with some of the most successful popular gaming components to make it flow.

If you're one that's not fussed by adaptable controls, you may well forgive it's minor shortcomings for one of fastest flowing gta type games around that shines the more you play.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best cockpit sim on console!, 22 Feb. 2009
This review is from: Race Pro (Xbox 360) (Video Game)
Come on guys! Granted the graphics aren't Polymemetic alloy, What counts is the frame rate, well drawn polly's and draw distance detail. Mirrors provide true opponent locality compared to games you could relax in only to see opponents (1/2 a mile away in your rear view) smile past you.

For me, this is certainly one up over Ferrari Challenge for graphics, frame rate and realistic collision SFX. Proper engine sounds, crisp rain visuals, good light flickering on polygons, modifying flexibility and a realized cockpit view makes for a more tangible sim experience yet on console.

The first races may seem monotonous in speed for the arcade speed Connoisseurs but driving picks up in later tiers to bring something synergistic. So the impatient should take note!

I'm lapping this up as past attempts like Toca 3 had A.I. flaws leaving many frustrated. This has good PC-like scalable options that provides choice to A.I. challenge.

A decent sim that's worth the wait.

5.0 out of 5 stars Game for the connoisseur., 28 Nov. 2007
Thought this would help aiming for ps3 owners as it helped me. Personally thought the aiming is not so much of an impedance but an intentional way for the developers to particularize stand-off challenge to this unique game.

Turn speed x-axis 35
Turn speed Y-axis 100
Turn accel 45
Aim speed X-axis 30
Aim speed Y-axis 15
Aim accel 0

Top of the morning to ya.

5.0 out of 5 stars My favorite console of all time., 24 April 2007
Next to the xbox 360, this console stands tall in reliability. Thought Amazon sent me a book on it's arrival but gratefully delivered a machine that eliminates all the old faults with previous versions.

If PS3 emulation remains poorly supported and PS3 library doesn't turn heads, I'll be back at Amazon for another few PS2's Should the PS2 discontinue.
No crashes, red lights of death freezes or background hoover suction. Hoo raah !

Always a pleasure to shop through Amazon.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simulation made fun., 29 Mar. 2007
This review is from: MotoGP 06 (Xbox 360) (Video Game)
Moto gp is always something to remember on xbox which got better in sequels but there was always something missing.

This outing on 360 seems to fill the enigma. The introduction to each bike handling and sounding differently brings more choice to adapt and appreciate more of what the game has to offer later. This game seems to bring the rumble effect in the controller to a welcomed level. Convincing force feedback makes you feel in touch with the environment.

Realistic riding physics thats easily adaptable to give that pick up and play element.

This game may give you a passion for bikes that other races rarely provide. Races are structured so that there is never a loss cause to give up.
If you like simulations with arcade presentation, i would highly recommend putting on your boots for something unsurpassed in all aspects that can only get better in another sequel.

5.0 out of 5 stars UP THERE WITH THE BEST., 11 Mar. 2007
This review is from: Quake 4 (Xbox 360) (Video Game)
Very rarely will you move as fast as this in the FPS genre which gives way for fast frenzied action. Graphics in some levels may distract you from the action as the scenery here is slick.

A very playable game with controls to match which as mentioned before compares (and to me surpasses) to popular titles due to a mix of speed, atmosphere, diversity in weapons and enemy AI.

An unpresidented experience which packs a powerful punch in video game memorabilia.

5.0 out of 5 stars .......The world chico....and everything in it., 2 Dec. 2006
If this game was released before gta, there wouldn't be a problem with it being underrated as the script, game-play and missions bring credibility to a film you can identify with which is pulled off astoundingly. Language aside this is the most involving game i've played as;

a)You live Tony's ups and downs
b)You encounter split exciting decisions to play
c)Movie fans can sentimentally be gifted with his assets
d)chases are better than in any other
e)Varied missions add scope to game-play.

The only criticism is, there comes a point where you'll be doing the same missions repetitively to building your empire. But thankfully the game allows it's side missions to help eliminate this factor.

Graphics are top-notch and it's one of the best gta type games out there to date. I take my hat off to the developers for making a game we can remember Scarface by.

Not a game for your little ones unless they're little James Cagney's.

5.0 out of 5 stars Low price for quality joystick if you can find it., 30 Nov. 2006
The power of the arcades brought to your home in a well compact designed joystick with useful turbo modes and buttons well laid out for ps1 and ps2 games. Unit appears strong and durable.

Some games like VF4 evo can't detect analogue but this solves this problem.

Great for beat'em ups and playing my fav 'defender' again with easier button layout than what i remembered on defender.

Thanks to Amazon to be able to find this gem.
