Max Factor Eye Brightening Mascara for Blue Eyes - Black Sapphire
Max Factor Eye Brightening Mascara for Blue Eyes - Black Sapphire

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for lengthening short lashes!, 25 May 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The best mascara I've ever owned. I bought this randomly at an airport when I realised I'd forgotten to pack my makeup. That was 4 years ago and I've not found anything that even comes close to being as good since. Does exactly what makeup should - makes you look like you're actually just ridiculously naturally beautiful rather than wearing makeup! Subtle, but not in a way that means it's not working. Can't believe Max Factor discontinued this and hope there's plenty of stock on Amazon!

5.0 out of 5 stars Subtle and pretty, 25 May 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I always get tons of compliments in these. Not totally invisible when wearing with standard ballet pumps, but subtle and pretty. I wore these religiously last summer (1 pair) and the elastic has finally gone enough for me to need to replace them (they no longer stay in place, but always did perfectly). Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Better alternative to regular coconut oil for bathroom use, 25 May 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Fantastic product, I use it as shaving gel as I have sensitive skin and used to get a lot of problems with rashes and ingrown hairs. I started using coconut oil (the non-fractionated kind) and found it to be AMAZING. Except it did a number on the plumbing in my house once it had hardened again in the pipes. I was reluctant to stop using it as I was getting such great results, and after some research bought this to see if it was better. The results on my skin are just as good, and this one doesn't mess with the plumbing! Also much easier in general to use in the bathroom as it's a slim, clear container with a pump.

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth the price, 25 May 2016

I don't go anywhere without these. I am sensitive to gluten and a lot of processed food. Side effects of eating them are bloating and intestinal pain, acid reflux, energy dips, poor skin, unpredictable digestive system and general sluggishness. But I also love pizza, and often when eating out or in social situations I have very little control over what is put in front of me. If I pop one of these just beforehand, my symptoms are so much better. The bloating is significantly lessened, the pain isn't there and I have no drastic effects on my digestive system. I've tried a couple of other digestive enzymes and find these to be the best.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great reference book to have on the shelf, 4 Nov. 2015
I found this really useful to dip in and out of and it's great to know I can pick it up as and when I need it in future. It covers the basics and then goes into detail on strategy without being overwhelming on jargon, so it's great for beginners and marketing professionals alike. With social media changing so quickly, it's reassuring to have something so new on the market to be sure it's up to date.

5.0 out of 5 stars An exploration of the delicacies of human interaction, 27 Nov. 2012
This review is from: Resolution (Paperback)
Resolution begins at the eve of the Second World War and weaves through the lives of three very different women from three generations, up to the present day. Each character is painted beautifully, from the dutiful, hard-working Maria, to Debbie's turbulent young adulthood as she spirals down into the depths of addiction. Her daughter Ruth's quiet, isolated existence and the journey she takes that propels her to her full potential is powerful and engrossing.

An acute sensitivity on behalf of the author is what makes Resolution a sure success; decades of working with people has make John Cole an expert in the delicacies of human interaction, be it through family, friendship or romance. Political issues are explored with a skill that makes no judgement, but drives the reader to deliberate these ideas long after they have finished reading.

A fascinating observation of modern society, drawing on a number of historical events and changing attitudes through the decades, Resolution is a poignant novel that defies genres and elegantly explores a plethora of ideas. A real joy to read

4.0 out of 5 stars controversial, 12 Feb. 2007
This review is from: Life in Cartoon Motion (Audio CD)
Mika has certainly caused a stir! To be honest, these reviews are unlikely to be any use to you, as there's no telling as to whether you'll love it or hate it. But Personally, I love it! Mika's sound is totally fresh as well as being a regurgitation of 1000 legendary artists from over the past 40 years, the most prominent of these being Freddie Murcury (however he can also be likened to The Beatles/Scissor sisters/Elton John etc.). He's sort of camp electro/pop/rock/indie. As for the tracks, I did adore 'Grace Kelly' but it has now become stale due to it being obsessively overplayed. The strongest Songs are 'love Today', 'Big Girl'(sounds like Queen's 'Fat Bottomed girls'), 'Billy Brown' (Sounds like early Beatles), 'Relax, Take it easy' and 'Lollipop'. But by far the strongest song on this album is 'Over my Shoulder', the hidden track at the end of 'Happy Ending'. It's a duet between Mika and his guitarist and it's just chilling. Mika is a classically trained singer, and this demonstrates it beautifully. However, once again there is a 50/50 chance as to whether you will agree with me.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic, 5 Feb. 2007

This is now one of my all time favourites. The Japanese culture is explored beautifully and the plot is fascinating and very real. The film is also recommended, but not nearly as good.

5.0 out of 5 stars Greatest book ever written, 5 Feb. 2007
This review is from: Skellig (Paperback)
This is a great book. Almond writes soulfully as always, and this is definitely his best. The chapters are nice and short, the plot is fascinating and it doesn't matter what age you are, you will enjoy it!
