1.0 out of 5 stars Rubbish elastic, 29 Dec. 2011
Bought these socks as I wanted large socks for my size 12 feet. The foot fitting is fine, but the elastic around the lower leg is so poor that they fall down around my ankles all the time. Not good quality.

1.0 out of 5 stars Netgear have caused me nothing but trouble, 21 Nov. 2011
I bought this item because Netgear ReadyNAS products are supposed to be reliable and trustworthy. Its basic functionality is fine, and it is certainly solid and robust, but the device has a recurring problem where it simply loses all trace of the file structure from my disks.

The problem can be fixed by Netgear's technical support team, but they can only do it by accessing my device remotely and it takes 3-4 days to process the request. The first fault with the ReadyNAS is that it can't be accessed by the end user to fix this kind of issue, and the second fault is that it should have this kind of recurring issue anyway! Netgear has confirmed that it is a fault with their device and not the disks, and they have confirmed that only they can fix it.

I would not buy this product again, nor recommend it to others.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as the previous series, 31 Dec. 2010
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Bones - Season 5 [DVD] (DVD)
If you liked the first four seasons of Bones then you will probably want to buy this, and will be entertained. We were, and we didn't regret getting a copy. But it's definitely a step down from the previous series.

The plot lines are full of the same quirky circumstances, police antics and pseudo-scientific leaps as ever. They are more outlandish than before, bordering on the completely unbelievable (rather than simply the "unlikely" kind of unbelievable that you'd expect).

The characters feature more - the relationship between Bones and Booth is explicitly discussed rather than hidden by innuendo and sexual tension. We felt like there was little interesting development in the characters and their inter-relationships throughout this series, and the crime plots were less addictive. It's okay, but if the trend continues then we watch Series 6.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good value, sturdy, 31 Dec. 2010
Bought two batches of these archive boxes (30 in total) to move an entire wall of books into storage. The boxes are easy to use, strong and just the right size so you can pack them full of books / papers and still lift them.

They were delivered very quickly. The courier company left them outside in the rain, which was stupid for a cardboard product, but luckily the seller had wrapped them well so couple that got wet weren't really damaged - that's the only gripe, and the only thing that prevents a 5-star rating.

The Gro Company Gro-Clock Sleep Trainer
The Gro Company Gro-Clock Sleep Trainer
Price: £19.99

5.0 out of 5 stars The gift of sleep!, 31 Dec. 2010
After 2½ years of being woken between 5.30-6.30am, we decided to try the Gro-Clock. Great result! We told him "when the sun is asleep mummy and daddy are asleep, when the sun is awake mummy and daddy are awake". Now he lies patiently in bed watching the stars until 7am.

The Gro-Clock is easy for a toddler to understand, and fun for them to watch. You can set two different wake-up times (ostensibly for nighttime and daytime naps, but we use the daytime one for an extra 20 minutes at the weekend), and it doesn't need to be reprogrammed when it gets unplugged (which is frequently, as any parent will know).

The only niggle I can think of is that you can lock it at night so your child can't wake up early, but you can't lock it during the daytime so my inquisitive toddler tends to push the buttons randomly and occasionally change settings.

Worth a shot if you want a guaranteed waking up time.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not a patch on the last one, 2 Jan. 2008
This review is from: Into Paradise (Audio CD)
A well produced, crisp performance by the quartet. Their voices are as good as ever, but the repertoire is more mediocre than their first album. If you like choral interpretations of pop, broadway and orchestral works then this is fine fayre - but it doesn't have the class or originality of its predecessor, and it's aimed much more at the middle ground.

5.0 out of 5 stars Feature-packed, stylish and top value, 12 Jun. 2007
The styling on the L80 takes you back to classic days, but the camera itself has all the features an amateur and holiday-photographer would ever need (including the usual bundle of "fun frames" and the like that nobody actually wants).

I found it to be sturdy and very easy to use. It's bigger than the midget cameras that fit almost-invisible into a shirt pocket. The auto exposure settings produce decent photos most of the time, and the manual controls are intuitive and work well if you need to tweak things a bit.

The price has dropped a lot since I bought it last summer (2006) and it's now an unbelievable bargain. Buy it.
