What a waste of such a talent. I watched merse play a dozen times. How did he do it with so much alcohol in him. Love his honesty though. A great read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best game since Half-Life 2, 2 Nov. 2010
Wow! I have been playing games since way way back and i haven't had so much fun since Half Life 2 on the PC and Cannon Fodder & Sensible Soccer on the Amiga 5600 ( for those of you old enough to remember the A5600 ). Uncharted 2 is simply amazing. Fantastic game play, well thought out levels and absolutely stunning visuals. I have played all the old school Amiga games and MOD, Doom, Crysis, COD etc on the PC. I was blown away when Half-Life 2 appeared and that is still my all time no.1 game but boy does Uncharted 2 run it close. Even the fabulous graphics of Bioshock are outdone here by an all round brilliant game. The story is probably nothing new, man searching for treasure etc but the way it unfolds and the interaction with other characters is spot on. The cutscenes naturally move the story on and never seem annoying, the baddies are clever enough to hide and duck but don't stand still too long as they will manoeuvre to sneak up on you. Weapons are a plenty and all seem perfect to use, never feeling sluggish or weak. When you use a shotgun close up it feels powerful enough to put a smile on your face. The jumping/climbing experience of Drake is so easy to use and never stops the game from flowing from one exciting scene to another. Even the train climb at the very outset of the game will give you a feel of what is to come and if that doesn't put a big fat grin on your face then maybe you should go and paint the fence! Hey i know its not perfect and i have read comments about Drake not being able to climb some walls, i also think the game is easier to complete than some others, the end of level baddies are not that difficult to finish off but don't let that put you off as this game really kicks some butt in the run, jump, climb, shoot, kill, climb, jump, run stakes. If you know what i mean.
All in all a very very tiny 2% flawed game backed up by a beefy 98% cracker of a romp.
Buy it, in no way will you be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars An Amazing Read, 18 Oct. 2008
What an amazing read. If you are new to DSLR or photography in general and you have the D40/X you must own this book. Full of concise step by step easy to read instructions on getting the most out of your camera. I can't put it down. Learn how to use the basic dials on your camera and take great shots. Then when you feel more comfortable with it move on to more indepth actions on exposure, lighting, composition etc. Each chapter lets you feel your way in to the subject so you don't feel rushed. This allows you to understand everything easier and that way you feel like you are actually learning something and remembering it. You really can't do without this book. An amazing read. I love it as much as the camera itself.I would pay double for this book. Get it now!
