Little Boy Lost
Little Boy Lost
Price: £3.98

4.0 out of 5 stars Light reading on a heavy subject, 4 Aug. 2017
This review is from: Little Boy Lost (Kindle Edition)
This book is easy to read, with a relative brisk pace, skimming the surface of what is a very deep, very dark and a very heavy problem; racism in today's America... The author skilfully lets its story glide and doesn't get lost by the turbulent waters of race related destitute...

5.0 out of 5 stars A very promising debut, 18 July 2017
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Likeable and fallible hero, interesting characters, good plot, steady pace with no loss of attention throughout the trilogy. In all a very promising start.

3.0 out of 5 stars Heartfelt story full of emotion and historical inaccuracies..., 13 May 2017
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
A good read, griping story told in a beautiful place, full of sun, larger than life people and Greek tragedy. Pity about the historical inaccuracies that, despite the artistic licence, did not add to the story and were totally unecesary.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice read that deserved a better ending, 15 April 2017
Nice plot, in fantasy inspiring settings, likeable protagonist, believable realistic (3D) characters, sentiment creating buddies... The story was a bit disjointed at times, with some of the story summarising para's at various intervals given unnecessarily to close to the preceding events. Also twist at the end didn't enhance the story. In fact the ending was a bit disappointing, maybe a bit too abrupt even, almost like the author loosing interest, whereas could have very nicely set a sequel...

5.0 out of 5 stars The series lived up to the expectations set by the 1st instalment; what a story! Excellent reading; hopefully more to follow..., 29 Mar. 2017
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Likeable and fallible hero, interesting characters, good plot, steady pace with no loss of attention. In all a very promising start, so much so that i want to see what happens next.. Off to download the sequels!...
....Finished the whole series, which more than met the expectations set by the first instalment. Great story with an even better ending and a twist that didn't see coming, nor was just a gimmick. It's a page turner, nail biting at times, never losing its pace. Flawed, vulnerable and very human hero, with hopefully more adventures to come... Well done, Nick! Keep it up!

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice twist, but something was missing...., 25 Mar. 2017
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Good reading and interesting plot with a twist, but...
Something didn't quite click for me. The flashbacks were distracting rather than adding to the story, also slowed down the pace. They did not help connecting with the character, almost an own goal... Shame...

4.0 out of 5 stars The story continoues., 4 Mar. 2017
True to the series, this instalment has all the key elements that made the series a success; likeable but earthly heroes, a nasty vilane, picturesque landscapes, interesting plot. Not as pacy as previous books though, but still a good read.

4.0 out of 5 stars Griping reading with a twist, 27 Jan. 2017
Interesting story, well developed characters, beautiful landscapes and a twist for the end. Not a bad start for a new author. Keep it up and good luck!

Once the plot gets going, at page one..., it all goes very quickly. Good read, with a few twists but no surprises.

2.0 out of 5 stars Short!, 11 Jan. 2017
Short, too short. It would have been interesting had it been longer. Not befitting to have to write 20 worlds...
