I bought these using the exact same information as my existing jeans - same brand, same style and same size. The jeans I received seem genuine, but are a bit baggy and too long.

Perfectly good controller, I was just a little surprised that these don't come with charger and ear piece as standard.

Dave Tipper is the master. I'm slowly collecting his entire catalogue.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect companion to Early 2011 Macbook Pro, 27 Feb. 2013

Bought to accompany an early 2011 Macbook Pro i7 Quad core. Easy integration, and seemless compatability.

The laptop now screams (in a good way). Start up time is around 9 seconds, shut down time is only a few. Applications open in a fraction of the time...

SSD is the way forward.

Just beware, if you buy this for someone who has an Amazon account registered in a different nation, it will be really awkward for them to redeem it... and you might be told by several different customer service reps that the money will be lost... really bad experience with an otherwise generally very good company.

Amazon, please fix this... if you allow me to pay in Euros for GBP items, why not allow gift cards to be redeemed in other currencies... you could even make a few bob in conversion fees...

Ok, so you've probably read a few reviews about these and other headphones... and you may have other headphones in mind... maybe in ear ones, maybe closed back ones... well read this before making a decision.

Yes, these headphones are open backed so if you have the volume up more than a quarter the way, in a quiet room the person next to you will be able to tell whether you're listening to the live version or the album version of Adele's Someone Like You. Some people complain and call them leaky... They're meant to be like this, it's one of the reason the bass will take your breath away. If you want in ear ones, get them without bass and with an ear infection... if you want closed back ones... yeah, they're quiet, but they also sound like you're listening to music in a box.

Yes, they're tight on your head... they're so tight in fact that I'm considering giving a set to my mate's sister, who remarkably has one ear which sticks out as though it's trying to touch her nose, in the hope that it will save her money for the surgery to have it pinned back. Guess what - you get used to it, and yes they're meant to be tight, it's what makes the sound right on your ear not like other over the head headphones whose bass is lost because they rest a little way from your ear. Some say it hurts... if that is pain, then those people would be crippled at how my body feels on a daily basis. Man up

The sound quality - oooh the sound quality. Wear them in, don't listen to them too loudly for the first month (if you use headphones regularly)... then after a month or so, put your old iPod headphones in and AB them (compare them). You'll notice how tinny and lacking in bass your old headphones were. And I'm not talking boomy, bass too high muffled noise, I'm talking defined and clear bass with clarity poise. Not surprising really as they do use the same drivers as the more expensive Grado series... and if I had an expensive stereo I would have these more expensive headphones, but I don't, I have an iPod for which the iGrados are designed (at least for the portable mp3 player generation).

Grado have improved a couple of things...

The cable is stronger now. Where the cable goes into the jack and the earcups has been stengthened. Also the jack itself has been improved to a right angle jack which suffers less wear when in pockets and on the move. There is also now a splitter slide to adjust where the cable split sits before going into the cups.

I know all this because a) I am a professional music producer (I use different headphones and things for monitoring in the studio) and b) I bought a pair of these 2 years ago and used them almost every day, giving them abuse, travelling a lot (I live overseas and regularly visit my fam in the UK and my wife's fam in France... I mean they got thrown around, pulled around by their cord, dropped etc etc...) after 20 months, the sound stopped in one ear which was probably just the lead coming out. I was going to get them repaired but by the time I send them back to the manufacturer the postage would have cost me the price of a new pair... so here I am. New improved pair.

Hope this review helps...

AJ

This is what hiphop should be; guys on the mike rapping about fun stuff, girls, holidays - wicked beats, drum riffs, jazzy loops and some fresh scratching to top it all off. Tastier than a protein shake and a stck of pancakes with extra maple.
