5.0 out of 5 stars Happy while not being happy!, 22 Dec. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This book on the Lhasa breed is excellent with Juliette Cunliffe being the foremost expert on the breed there is everything you ever need to know about your Lhasa. Greatly recommend.

Unhappy that Amazon did the usual of sending the "What do you think of your purchase" email and the missus saw this, now I have to spend more money to get her something she does not know about. I hide nothing from my partner which is why she saw this email and knows she is getting this as one of her stocking fillers, so thanks for that Amazon on this occasion the book receives 5 stars while amazon gets a slap on the wrist.

4.0 out of 5 stars Clearing up confusion., 24 Jun. 2012

This "Mini DV" is not the Muvi branded one by any stretch of the imagination. And the included instructions are about as much good as a chocolate fire guard. But I'll do my best to help those struggling with it, you'll be surprised at it's capabilities.

Firstly - Charge it up! At a wall socket (not via USB) until the Red light (charging) stops flashing and you have a solid Blue light (charged). Once it has received a initial charge you can charge via USB later.

Secondly - SD card! Via your computer Format your chosen SD card to "FAT32" and NOT "NTFS", once that's done pop it into your camera brass contacts of the card facing the same way the lens does.

Thirdly - Install your drivers if you are having trouble with the driver disk as I did a quick google of "Mini DV D001" got me the drivers needed. Once installed connect your camera to the USB and it should find it as a removable drive.

Fourthly - Editing the time stamp. You will need to open a new document in "Note pad" and put in this.

[date]
2012/06/22
12:00:00=

Once you've edited the right time and date save it as TAG.txt and place the file on the SD card or save it to the SD card the choice is yours.

That should be the fiddly bit out of the way, now mount your camera where you want to. One press of the power switch should give you a Blue light indicating "ON" same thing to turn it off.

One press of the top button starts recording (be warned the lights go out when you do this :-/ so you don't realise it's recording) by pressing this button again stops recording. Simple really.

The Mode switch when recording will stop sound or video recording (bit daft really)
The Mode switch when not recording sets it to sound activated recording (cheeky surveillance)

Video can be removed from the SD card when you're done by simply connecting to USB and drag and drop from there DCIM folder.

I hope this helps. :-)

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent stoppers!, 13 Jun. 2012

Brilliant mechanical calipers can't beat Shimano very good adjustments and easily maintained far better than the stock Tektro io calipers I replaced. Although I would say make sure you rub the pads down before venturing out for a ride as the "Newness" takes a while to burn off before they start working properly all in all bloody brilliant.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simply excellent, 24 May 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I used to only go for Nike trainers as I suffer with weak bridges and need the extra support but these Karrimors were recommended to me as they use the same style of ergonomic design and there simply excellent! And loads lighter than Nike also I do a fair bit of Downhill mountain biking and these shoes just refuse to let go of the pedals which is always a good thing. I can't recommend these enough. After a few days I noticed muscle aches in my calfs and glutes my Physio has said my posture has changed (for the good) as there sort of forcing me to walk upright properly, this was great news to me as I was looking at buying a pair of MBTs but now I guess I don't have to.

Simply excellent light weight (like walking in just your socks) very grippy and tough wearing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Top Tech, 20 Sept. 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Brilliant piece of tech for a nice price! I must say don't expect lightning fast 3D games and blistering performance after all it's not an Archos or iPad not even close but I still feel it holds its own in an already competative market. The Android 2.2 (Froyo) is a nice and smooth OS and the Android Market (real market too) has all the apps you'll ever need, Kindle works like a dream, Facebook was a little buggy on mine but replaced that with the earlier version and now it's all sweet. The web browser is ace for just general viewing and surfing, iPlayer can be fiddly but easily solved via the android market.

So far i've managed 4 1/2hours on a full charge including heavy Facebooking (flashgames), eBay and Youtube plus watching a 2hr 720p Avi file, I must say though if you arn't using this device online turn the wifi off as it's a major drain on the battery and also "Advance Taskill" is a must have app installed (free from the market). The support for this tablet/slate is excelent i've found numerous sites offering guidance and advice for the M009S and it does seem to have quite a large tech following if you need more proof check out slatedroid.com.
