4.0 out of 5 stars Great capacity, you really don't have to think too ..., 22 Sept. 2015

Great capacity, you really don't have to think too much with this in your bag about finding alternate power sources. You'll get several recharges of an iPhone and a couple of iPad's out of this. The only downside is the time it takes to recharge, you really do need to leave it overnight.

3.0 out of 5 stars Reasonable, but don't expect too much, 22 Sept. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Image quality it reasonable, although you need to keep the camera still for it to focus. Any movement causes the image to blur which makes it hard to see, so depends on where you are planning on poking it. If feeding into spaces such as under floor or behind wall panels, bear in mind that you can't direct the camera head to look in the right direction, so needs a lot of jiggling and patience to get it orientated.

The right angle lens supplied was useless. The 'mirror' is cheap plastic and foggy, and on mine scratched as well, which meant you couldn't see a thing with it attached.

This also works with Mac OS X. Plug it in, then use either Quicktime Player or Photo Booth, switch camera to the USB 2.0 Camera and away you go. Don't attempt to put the supplied mini CD in your slot loading drive (if you have one)!

4.0 out of 5 stars A thought provoking read, a self-help book with a narrative., 30 July 2013

An enjoyable journey though the discomfort of enforced self-reflection. Why am I here, do I deserve this, what could be different - themes that we all could benefits from reflecting on more often.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great insight into TDD, 17 Mar. 2013
A great introduction to TDD on iOS. Full life cycle development of a useful and non-trivial app was useful, but I felt some of the tricks of TDD became lost in a mass of repetitive code. Would be nicer to break out the whys and where's into a more succinct chapter.

4.0 out of 5 stars Interesting read, 22 Jan. 2013
I found this an interesting read, although the author does dwell fat to much on all the negatives, but you have to accept that this will be the daily view when doing a long distance challenge such as this. But given that he seems to be round it for pleasure rather than charity, and with no particular time pressure, he'd have taken it a little easier and actually enjoyed it! He is upbeat throughout, but you'll learn more about the aches and pains, and drab and dreary parts of Britain than the pluses of the experience.

Great book, very amusing and inspirational too. Show you can never be too unconventional in setting yourself a challenge and finding adventure in every day places.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great value for money, 23 Nov. 2012

Amazing little case for the money. Only quibbles is the hinge is a little slack, so the cover doesn't always sit quite square, and the triangle stand doesn't stay easily in shape, but that might be because the materials is a little stiff and will get more supple with a little bit of use. Nothing really to detract from the amazing value. Adds plenty of protection with little bulk. Puts the £30 cases to shame!

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing and unoriginal, 11 April 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Far too short, both in overall length and in depth in any of the stories. You'll learn nothing that couldnt be found elsewhere on blogs across the Internet, regardless of whether Apple was the company or any offer tech business.

Many times the author poses a question about what it's like to work for Apple, and every time he fails to provide the answer. Other reviewers have mentioned thees shortcomings, and then given the book 3, 4 or 5 stars, which really isn't justified.

You'd think that someone who had worked at Apple would have learnt the value of exceeding the customers expectations when delivering a product, but in this case he clearly hasn't. No wonder he left after two years, he obviously didn't fit in!

Bulky for what it does, and the alarm sound is not particularly loud. It would alert you if nearby, but would not necessarily deter a thief in a built up area.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice, 12 May 2011

Seems like a good battery case. This is the third I've tried, and most expensive. The case plastics let it down - they are trying to follow the iPhone aesthetics, but failing. Cheap looking plastic but it seems to work well and has more juice than most of the others, although making it slightly more bulky. The top flap looks like it might fail but I'll reserve judgement on that until I've had it a while. Main complaint is that the plastic is smooth and so it tends to slide about in the hand. Most cases go for a more textured finish which I prefer.
