4.0 out of 5 stars Suprisingly effective, 25 Mar. 2016
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
Very light and thin, yet quite absorbent. It does feel like you're trying to dry yourself with a bed-sheet and a pillow-case, but they do work quite well. They are ideal to take on holidays, or take the hand-towel when walking. They take up very little space in the backpack and are extremely light.
In the home I wouldn't use them in preference to the more comforting, thicker towels but they are very useful for taking away on trips.

4.0 out of 5 stars Well made and lightweight, 10 Mar. 2016
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
A very comfortable and light backpack. Inside it contains a small bag ostensibly for carrying a small amount of camera equipment, but can be used as a small bag and used separately. Both the small bag and the backpack come with a slip-on cover concealed in the base. This isn't attached, so can be hung to dry separately.
On the back of the backpack there is a large pocket that doesn't have a flap to cover it, which I find odd. Stuff has a tendency to fall out of that when I lie the backpack down.
On the whole though I like it and use it when I can resist the urge to take every piece of camera equipment I can possibly carry.

Piccadilly Unscented Shaving Cream
Piccadilly Unscented Shaving Cream
Offered by F&MCosmetics
Price: £13.95

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent for blade shaving, 8 Mar. 2016
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
With a good blade this is a wonderful product. A nice creamy texture that is easy to apply and no scent. The blade slides effortlessly across the skin and provides a good clean shave.
However, it chokes my electric shavers. My Philips Wet/Dry shaver struggles after a few seconds. You can hear it slowing as the heads get clogged. Even rinsing it doesn't remove all of the cream from the heads.
So, for blade shaving it is very nice indeed, but I wouldn't subject my electric shavers to it again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gentle and Effective, 29 Jan. 2016
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
My wife doesn't normally use cleansing lotions, preferring cleansing wipes instead. However, the opportunity arose to try this product and the results are very effective.
It is odourless and not astringent, although as effective as a typically astringent cleaner.
Very nice and recommended.

4.0 out of 5 stars Worth the extra effort, 16 Jan. 2016
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
It must be said that not all of the ingredients in this book are easy to source, but if you can then it can provide some wonderful results, but you also need more time than most people would be prepared to give, for quite a few of these dishes. The book starts with a section explaining the basic ingredients and cooking utensils. There are even bits of advice on what to look for in store-bought sauces.
The pictures throughout display the food at their best - nothing like my attempts, but the few that I have tried have tasted wonderful.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very nice and effective, 16 Jan. 2016
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
A review by my wife -
I have to admit I am a fan of this product. The coverage is excellent and long-lasting. I have shiny skin and find this to be an effective powder, especially when used with L'Oreal foundation. It is a very good design - powder, puff and mirror in one small container. Ideal for travelling.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good quality with no clumping, 16 Jan. 2016
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
A review by my wife -
I normally wear brown/black mascara but didn't find this black mascara off-putting. Its compact size and short handle makes this very easy to use and the result is very effective, with no clumping. Apply a second coat immediately and the result is even better.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very good cleaner, 6 Jan. 2016
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
A small, light and powerful cleaner, easy to manoeuvre although assembly can be a little irritating.
Two stainless steel tubes connect for the main pipe, but they appear to only connect one way (because one end is wider than the other) but there is no indication as to which way. Not the end of the world, but annoying if it takes a couple of attempts to get them both the right way around. The instructions are almost entirely in diagram form, and do seem to imply a connector for the two pipes, which doesn't exist and isn't required.
Two very large buttons on the top of the unit - one is the on/off switch and the other retracts the power lead, to store it internally.
The various heads that come with it are quite good, but if you use the wrong one on carpet you'll have to switch it off - it is so powerful I couldn't push it and had trouble dragging it across our deep pile carpet! That just shows how powerful it is and it certainly cleaned deep down into the carpet. On hard floors it is excellent.
It doesn't have a large container for the dust, but it is very simple to remove and empty.
At this price this is a very nice vacuum cleaner.

Basic English Grammar For Dummies
Basic English Grammar For Dummies
by Geraldine Woods
Edition: Paperback
Price: £12.65

4.0 out of 5 stars Quite good detailing of basic grammar, 29 Dec. 2015
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
As the title states, this is a book of basic grammar tuition. The examples it gives are always all very simple but there are snippets within for most levels of experience.
Not as entertaining as "Eats shoots and leaves", which discusses how vague some of the grammatical rules are. This publication doesn't detail the various opinions that abound, regarding the grammatical rules, but states them as the author understands them.
The author's personal opinions show through at times, which I wasn't keen on. You can't pick and choose which parts you agree with when you're trying to explain them, certainly when it is aimed at a basic level.
However, it is quite well written, although hard work if you should try and read large sections of it at a time. Very good for picking up and browsing through short section.

5.0 out of 5 stars Clear and Informative, 18 Dec. 2015
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
A little under A4 size and roughly 200 pages, with clear photographs, diagrams, explanations and real-world examples. Questions and Answers (I assume asked by players and not just invented for the book) expand upon the explanations given. Includes all new rules for 2016.
A little large to actually carry on a course, but the cover and pages are glossy, which means they can take a little rain and suchlike and be wiped clean, if you do feel the need to refer to this during a game.
The examples are interesting, showing the almost encyclopaedic knowledge that the players have to have. It's also nice to know that even the most experienced professional get it wrong occasionally.
