A Fine Parody, 16 April 2014
Like the previous two books in this trilogy, this volume is well-crafted. The reader will not find them to be a continuation of, nor a true homage to, EF Benson's splendid Mapp and Lucia series, but rather a series of parodies. To devoted M&L fans, remember that just because something appears in print it doesn't make it true. Mapp and Lucia are having lots of giggles over their purported escapades in AuRez. Georgie is blushing, and the good Major is looking away somewhat embarrassed. Ah, these fair friends can never be old. The author is to be commended for introducing the world of Tilling to new readers, who will find in the original books the timeless treasures that will never tarnish.
